Bread pudding

I boiled the milk with a spoonful of sugar and vanilla.

I soaked the raisins with a little rum.

I mixed the cheese with 2 tablespoons of sugar, yogurt (I kept a tablespoon for the end), vanilla and lemon peel. I also put the drained raisins after they softened.

I greased a tray of yena with butter.

I greased the slices of bread with butter on one side.

I placed a layer of slices of bread on the bottom of the pan with the greased side up.

I also put the remaining heads from the slices from which I cut the popcorn from above.

I mixed 3 eggs with 2 tablespoons of sugar and then I put warm milk and pudding powder.

Over the slices of bread I poured egg mixture with milk. Then I put the cheese and from place to place cherry jam. Then another layer of slices of bread, and the cheese and jam and the final layer of bread.

I poured a mixture of eggs and milk over each layer of bread.

I let the bread soak well for 10 minutes.

I mixed a beaten egg with a spoonful of yogurt and put it on top.

I put the pot in the oven for 20 minutes.

I let it cool and powdered it with sugar.

Homemade bread pudding recipes

  • 600 gr. of bread
  • 1 liter of milk
  • 500 gr. of sugar + 150 gr. of sugar
  • 4 eggs + 5 egg yolks
  • 80 gr. of canned fruit
  • 1.5 dl. of water
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 3 cloves
  • 1 handful of raisins
  1. The day before making the bread pudding, brown the bread and place it in a large bowl. Add the liter of milk and let it soak for 24 hours.
  2. After the day put in a pot 500 gr. of sugar, water, cinnamon and 3 cloves and let it boil for about a minute. Remove the syrup from the heat and set aside until it cools down a bit.
  3. Mix the 4 eggs with 5 egg yolks and then wrap the syrup with spices, stirring constantly.
  4. Push the mixture through a sieve and add it to the bread.
  5. Add the canned fruit.
  6. Meanwhile, put the remaining sugar (150 grams of sugar) in a saucepan with a few drops of water and let it boil until a kind of light caramel is formed. When ready, pour it into a special pudding mold.
  7. Pour the whole mixture into the pudding and add an old raisin.
  8. Bake in a water bath at 180 ° C for 1 hour and 30 minutes.
  9. After this time, when it is ready, reserve it, letting it cool down a bit and untie it.

How to eat bread pudding?

It is common to eat hot or slightly warm pudding and accompany it with a little more caramel or cream. On the other hand, it is also common to accompany it with a good cup of milk tea or even to eat alone.

The simplest Homemade Bread recipe

Today we will do home bread. You can also find other bread recipes on my channel, but this is a very simple one, we don't have to make a mayo and it doesn't knead very much, all the ingredients are mixed in a bowl, and the result is a very fluffy bread.

Ingredient:

350 grams of flour, type 000
30 ml of oil
250 ml of lukewarm water
1 tablespoon sugar
5 grams of salt
5 grams of dry yeast

In a bowl put the flour, sugar, salt and yeast. Mix with a spoon. Then add the oil and mix again. At the end we put all the water and start kneading the dough. After we have finished incorporating all the flour, we knead the dough for about five minutes.

Grease the dough with a little oil and cover it with cling film. Leave the dough to rise for about an hour, in a warm place.

After the dough has risen, take it out on the floured top and flatten it slightly with your hands. Then, roll the dough, flatten it, roll it again, as if we were making the wasp nest cake and flatten it again. We repeat this step twice more. Because now we make these layers, when the bread will be baked, it will be very fluffy.

Form the dough into a ball and put it in a round shape, measuring 25 cm, lined with baking paper. Cover the dough with a kitchen towel and leave it to rise for another hour.

When the dough has risen, grease it with a brush with a little water, then sprinkle a thin layer of flour on top, and with a knife cut the bread.

Bake the bread at 180 degrees Celsius for about an hour, until it turns brown on top.

Look how good it looks! It has a crispy shell on the outside and the inside is very fluffy. It is absolutely wonderful if you eat it while it is still hot, but even the next day, it is just as soft.

BREAD pudding with cottage cheese & # 8211 recipe from long ago

• 1 sliced ​​bread
• 400-500 g of cottage cheese
• 500 ml of milk
• 8 eggs
• 30 g of butter
• 200 g of sugar

Turn on the oven and let it heat up to 180 degrees C.

Prepare the cream first: mix the cheese with 2 eggs, the raisins (if using), the sugar and the vanilla sugar.

Then prepare the tray in which you will bake the pudding, greasing it with a little butter or margarine. Use a tray or a deep, not very large, preferably square or rectangular shape.

Cut the bread slices in half. In a tall bowl, beat the remaining 6 eggs with the milk and a pinch of salt, using a whisk. Soak each half slice of bread in this liquid composition, and without squeezing them, place them on the bottom and walls of the tray.

Spread half of the cream cheese over the first layer of bread. Then place another layer of slices of bread soaked in milk and egg, squeezed a little this time. Spread a new layer of cream cheese, and cover at the end with a last layer of soaked bread.

Baking match: Put the pasta to boil, with a little salt, over medium heat. Separately, in a bowl, crush the cheese with a fork and add the cream and beaten eggs, then mix well all together. After the pasta has boiled, drain and let it rest for a few minutes. Grease a deep pan with butter, then put the pasta in the pan with the cheese composition, then mix all evenly. Put the tray in the oven over medium heat and leave for about half an hour, until the pudding is nicely browned. 5-6 minutes before removing from the oven, grease with another one or two beaten eggs, to get a beautiful golden color.

Wine pudding

The necessary ones: 200 gr rice, 1 liter red wine (can be Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon but also Fetească Neagră), 10 tablespoons sugar, 1 teaspoon cinnamon, 150 gr butter, 6 eggs, salt, breadcrumbs, 100 gr raisins.

The sweet match: Boil the rice in wine with half the sugar until it thickens. After allowing to cool for 20 minutes, mix with the butter and the remaining sugar. Separate the egg whites from the yolks. First, add the yolks one by one, then the cinnamon, salt and whipped egg whites. The composition is poured into a form greased with butter and sprinkled with breadcrumbs, which is put in the oven for 45 minutes, until the pudding will get a nice golden tint. In the pudding, you can also add dried fruit and vanilla, some variants proposing to thicken the composition with bread crumbs soaked in milk. Decorate with large raisins rehydrated in wine.

Red bread pudding

The necessities and the suitability of cooking: “Grate the skin of cold buns, cut into slices, brown in butter, grease the slices with marmalade, pour red wine over them and, after absorbing the wine, place the slices in a greased and sprinkled form with breadcrumbs , pour egg whites sprinkled with sugar on top and bake the pudding in the oven with the stove ”(Madeleine Brebu - Wartime kitchen, 1940)
