Method of preparation:

We prepare, for the beginning, the dough. Put in a metal bowl bee honey, baking powder, butter, eggs, vanilla sugar and powdered sugar. Boil the ingredients in a bain-marie for about 5 minutes.

Then add 200 g of flour and mix well. Remove the dough from the bowl and add it to the remaining flour. Knead the dough, then divide it in two.

Spread half of the dough in a baking tray greased with butter. Bake it at a temperature of 180-200 degrees until it acquires a beautiful golden color. Proceed in the same way with the other dough.

We prepare cream. Mix the pudding powder with 150 ml of milk and wheat flour until smooth. Then add the yolks and mix well.

We boil the remaining milk in a saucepan. When it boils, add the pudding and stir continuously until you get a thick cream. Then take the pudding from the heat and let it cool.

Beat the butter with 120 g of powdered sugar and vanilla sugar until it becomes frothy. Then add the cold pudding in the beaten butter, spoon by spoon. Mix well to obtain a smooth cream.

Spread the cream evenly over one of the two sheets of dough.

Beat the sweet cream with 2 tablespoons of powdered sugar and the hardener until you get a firm whipped cream. Spread the cream over the cream. Put the second sheet of dough on top.

Sprinkle the cake with powdered sugar and put it in the fridge. We leave it cold overnight. The next day we can cut it and serve. Good appetite and increase cooking!

Divide the cream into 4 equal parts and grease each sheet, but also the edges of the cake.

We will break the remaining edges of the cut and coat the cake.

Let cool until the next day, after which we can cut and serve the mousse at room temperature. Good job and good appetite! I didn't have the patience and cut it after about two hours, but the sheets weren't soft enough and the cream soft enough, but the next day they were just right.

As you have already noticed, you do not need a lot of ingredients to prepare these sheets with honey. However, consider using quality products, such as fatty butter or natural honey, purchased from local producers. Also consider using a kitchen scale because a delicious cake should not be made "by eye". So, weigh the ingredients, then each piece of dough to get uniform sheets of honey, all at a close weight. The mentioned quantities will be enough for you to make 4 sheets with the size of 33 x 42 cm or 5 sheets of almost 35 x 30 cm, depending on the tray used for baking or the type of cake you want to prepare.

The honey is melted together with the sugar and butter until the mixture begins to show slight signs of caramelization. Set aside and leave to cool. When it is no longer hot, transfer the composition to the bowl of the mixer, and add the vanilla sugar, grated lemon or orange peel and the two whole eggs. If you want to get some more fragrant honey sheets, you can also put a mixture used for gingerbread, consisting of cinnamon, cardamom and cloves.

Mix the composition well, then pour in the flour and baking soda. Gradually add the cold milk until the dough binds and becomes manageable. Depending on the flour used, you may need more or less milk, so it is not recommended to pour it all at once. You will get a dough for the sheets with sticky and soft honey, which is refrigerated for 10-20 minutes.

How do these sheets spread with honey?

After the dough has hardened a little, take it out of the fridge and portion it in approximately equal quantities. Use the kitchen scale for this stage, to make sure that the honey sheets are almost the same, not one too thick, and another very thin.

The dough is elastic, so you won't have trouble laying it on the work table where you sprinkled some flour. However, it is necessary to stretch each side the size of the tray in which you will bake them. If the edges are cut at other types of sheets and added to other pieces, nothing is removed for this preparation, therefore the parts of the dough are weighed before spreading. So, use the twister and spread all the sheets with honey, so that you fit the dimensions and have about the same thickness for each of them.

How to bake sheets with honey?

It would be perfect to have two identical baking trays or other types on hand to bake two sheets of honey at a time. After you have spread them out and placed them in the tray, prick the sheets with a fork from place to place so that they do not swell too much during baking. The oven is preheated to 200 degrees Celsius for those with ventilation or high stage in the case of gas, then the sheets are baked for 7 minutes, if you put two trays in the oven, or only 5 minutes if you bake a single sheet.

When ready, the honey leaves turn golden on the edge and rise slightly in height. Leave to cool on the grills to prevent condensation, and when they have cooled completely they can be placed on top of each other.

Flamingo cake is one of my favorites. This delicious dessert has a honeycomb and pudding cream. I prepared it just last week and it was eaten in a few hours.

Countertop ingredients:

  • 400 gr wheat flour, 150 gr sugar
  • 100 gr of honey, 50 gr butter
  • 2 eggs, 1/2 sachet baking powder
  • 30 gr cocoa, a pinch of salt

Cream ingredients:

  • 900 ml milk, 3 sachets of strawberry pudding
  • 2 sachets of vanilla sugar
  • 250 gr butter, 250 gr powdered sugar
  • Putin rom

Method of preparation:

For starters, prepare the dough. Heat honey, butter and sugar in a saucepan. We don't let them boil.

In a bowl, mix wheat flour, baking powder, cocoa and salt. Add eggs to the mixture on the fire. Then add the hot ingredient mixture to the flour mixture. Knead the dough, then divide it into 3.On the back of a baking tray, spread a piece of dough. Bake the dough in the preheated oven at 170 degrees for about 4-5 minutes. Before baking, prick the dough with a fork.After baking, let it cool completely. Bake the other 3 pieces of dough in the same way.

To prepare the cream, mix the pudding powder in 200 ml of milk. We boil the remaining milk with the vanilla sugar. Then add the pudding and stir continuously until it thickens. Take the pudding off the heat and let it cool slightly.

Beat the butter with the powdered sugar until fluffy. Mix cold pudding with whipped butter.Mix well to obtain a smooth cream. At the end, add the rum, to taste.

Put the first sheet of baked dough on a tray. Grease it with a part of the cream.Add a new sheet of dough and a new layer of cream. Cover with the last sheet of dough over which we spread the remaining cream. We can sprinkle the cake with grated chocolate.

We put the cake in the fridge for a few hours, after which we can cut it and serve it. Good appetite and increase cooking!
